Director, Global Alliances (Immunology Partnerships)

Responsibilities:
- Support alliance management for complex, high-value partnerships advancing AbbVie’s pipeline.
- Drive alignment across AbbVie and immunology partners to ensure shared vision, effective governance, and seamless execution across discovery, development, and commercialization.
- Manage governance forums (e.g., Joint Steering Committees), assessing alliance performance and providing recommendations at key contractual inflection points.
- Provide strategic insights to leadership on alliance health, opportunities, and risk mitigation.
- Support negotiations/amendments or restructuring of existing alliances when needed for long-term value creation and performance.
- Collaborate on business development and due diligence: evaluate, structure, and negotiate new immunology collaborations; support due diligence and integration planning.
- Implement and refine processes, tools, and communication frameworks to improve transparency and operational excellence.
- Establish best-in-class alliance practices and represent AbbVie as a partner of choice.

Qualifications:
- 5–10 years in pharmaceutical development, commercialization, alliance management, or corporate ventures/external innovation; strong grounding in scientific, development, regulatory, and commercial concepts across early/late-stage programs; familiarity with legal/contractual governance (preferred).
- Advanced scientific, legal, or business degree strongly preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD, JD, MBA or equivalent).
- Strong strategic/analytical skills for conflict resolution, risk management, organizational alignment, and development/presentation of strategic proposals.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive leadership; self-starter who anticipates challenges and navigates ambiguity.
- Proven success in matrixed, global organizations; influence without authority; deliver results across diverse teams.
