Director, Global AI Product Enablement - Medical Affairs.

Role: Director of Global AI Product Enablement within Gilead’s Medical Affairs, responsible for defining and executing a multi-year AI strategy to develop scalable AI products addressing Medical Affairs needs. Core responsibilities include building and socializing a 3-year AI roadmap, prioritizing use cases based on business impact, partnering with IT and external vendors for delivery, and ensuring measurable value realization through KPIs like adoption and engagement. The role involves leading AI product innovation, establishing frameworks for evaluating AI tools, and promoting AI adoption and literacy across Medical Affairs. It requires influencing senior stakeholders across a global, matrixed organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 12+ years or Master’s with 10+ years in AI, data, or digital product roles; experience in life sciences, Medical Affairs, or clinical domains preferred. Hands-on familiarity with emerging AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, RAG, agentic AI), with experience translating capabilities into business solutions, and working with delivery partners in regulated environments. The position reports to the ED of Medical Affairs Technology, operates without direct reports but demands strong leadership influence, and is focused on optimizing AI solutions across Gilead’s Medical Affairs functions. Location is flexible, with a focus on remote and global collaboration.
