Position Summary
Director, Forecasting (Worldwide Global) independently develops, maintains, and delivers forecasts for one or more therapeutic areas to inform brand strategy, enterprise planning, and cross-functional decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end forecasting for assigned brands/therapeutic areas with transparent, evidence-based assumptions.
- Integrate market research, competitive intelligence, and chart audits; support 1-, 3-, and 10-year forecasting cycles.
- Translate business questions into structured analyses and scenario plans.
- Develop and execute AI-first forecasting models (Excel-based, algorithmic, or data-enabled); ensure calibration, documentation, and enterprise alignment.
- Run scenario analyses/sensitivity assessments; improve forecasting logic, data pipelines, and assumptions with Data Science/BI&T/Forecasting Transformation teams.
- Partner with Finance/MAx/Commercial/Pricing/Medical/Worldwide teams; support P-cycles, Budget, and LTFP.
- Maintain quality control; ensure audit-ready, reproducible deliverables; streamline tools/templates.
- Provide informal mentorship and day-to-day guidance to analysts.
Qualifications & Skills
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical forecasting/commercial analytics or related quantitative fields; Bachelorβs degree required.
- Proficiency in forecasting methodologies, scenario modeling, and use of pharmaceutical secondary data (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony).
- Experience with Excel-based/algorithmic/AI-enabled forecast models.
- Python (preferred) or comparable tools; strong data synthesis, communication, and data-storytelling.
- Ability to work in dynamic environments with ambiguity; rigorous QC and methodological transparency.
