Purpose
The Director, Finance Transformation drives enterprise-wide finance transformation with executive and functional leaders across Commercial, Operations, Corporate, R&D, HR, and other key functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and alignment of finance transformation strategies and execution plans.
- Partner with executive leadership and the Transformation Steering Committee to set vision/roadmap for long-term organizational change.
- Align goals with enterprise vision and deliver measurable ROI.
- Identify and apply emerging trends/technologies (including AI-enabled planning and advanced analytics) to continuously innovate finance operations.
- Lead cross-functional/global project teams in a matrixed environment across multiple initiatives.
- Oversee transformation programs with accountability for scope, timeline, budget, and deliverable quality.
- Design processes/frameworks/metrics; track milestones, financial metrics, KPIs, and business case performance.
- Manage budgets/timelines; optimize resources and ensure delivery standards across teams.
- Lead comprehensive change management for stakeholder adoption and sustainable outcomes.
- Develop/training programs and communication materials; roll out transformation processes/tools.
- Manage external vendors/consulting firms for ERP/SAP, planning, and data visualization integration.
- Drive automation and advanced analytics adoption.
- Identify/mitigate transformation risks; escalate issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- 12+ years progressive leadership in finance transformation, consulting, or similar.
- Experience leading large-scale transformational programs with measurable impact.
- Proven cross-functional/global matrix leadership.
- Strong financial acumen; ERP systems familiarity (SAP experience highly valued).
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and project tools (Smartsheet or similar).
- Exceptional project management; strong organization and ability to manage ambiguity.
- Executive-ready communication; influence senior leaders independently.
- Global mindset; proven change management expertise (adoption and resistance management).
