Area Leader of Field Reimbursement
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs); provide strategic direction, coaching, performance feedback.
- Run team meetings and facilitate best-practice sharing to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in recruitment, development, and retention; travel within assigned region to support team and engage providers.
- Develop and manage budgets, travel, and team operations in compliance with company policies.
- Develop and execute regional field reimbursement strategies aligned to organizational goals.
- Monitor/analyze access, reimbursement, and patient-support trends; use data-driven insights to address barriers.
- Serve as escalation point for patient access and reimbursement issues; coordinate with market access and patient support.
- Improve patient experience via feedback and coaching; build FRM engagement strategies that fit office workflows.
- Build compliant relationships with nephrology office personnel involved in prior authorizations and specialty medication access.
- Partner with external vendors/internal teams to ensure patient access and support services (SOPs, training, comms).
- Ensure HIPAA and patient privacy compliance; establish and track KPIs for FRM team performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on approved Patent Support Program communications; coordinate with case management and specialty pharmacy.
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelorβs degree (advanced degree preferred: MBA/MPH/MHA).
- 10+ years in market access, patient services, sales, or field reimbursement (pharma/biotech).
- 5+ years leading specialty/rare disease field reimbursement or patient access teams.
- Proven experience building/scaling access/case management teams; specialty product launch experience.
- In-depth payer landscape/reimbursement process knowledge; strong regulatory/compliance (incl. HIPAA) knowledge.
- Ability to develop strategic plans, operational efficiencies, and performance metrics; excellent communication and leadership.
- Extensive travel (50β70%).
Pay Range
- $192,000β$288,000
