Director, Field Medical Affairs (Territory: Western US)

Responsibilities:
- Provide regional hiring, deployment, and leadership for hematology-focused Associate Directors – Field Medical (MSLs), including goal setting, performance evaluation, field visits, training, and mentoring.
- Supervise team member development and evaluate performance in partnership with the Senior Director.
- Ensure oversight of all activities in accordance with current regulatory and healthcare guidelines.
- Provide scientific exchange and collaboration with therapeutic area opinion leaders on disease and product information and research initiatives.
- Participate in development and management of company and investigator-sponsored clinical trials.
- Execute initiatives and other permissible field activities; ensure team field activity level and field metrics.
- Develop field strategies for healthcare professionals and field collaborative strategies for compliant partnerships with other customer-facing teams (e.g., sales).
- Contribute to development of educational materials/evidence communication tools and support regulatory/legal/healthcare compliance approvals.
- Identify research gaps and collaborate with potential and existing investigators.
- Support clinical data management via abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscript development.
- Engage healthcare professionals and attend medical conferences to collect and report medical insights.
- Develop strategic plans for Hematology scientific meetings and congresses.
- Collaborate with Clinical and study staff to develop and implement plans supporting Hematology Development Plans.
- Develop strategies for maintaining Hematology expert/investigator target lists and action plans.
- Work with Medical Information to develop, plan, and review materials for responses to scientific inquiries.
- Maintain company policies, principles, and financial controls with integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Advanced medical and/or scientific degree (MD/DO, PhD, PharmD, DVM).
- 10+ years’ Field Medical Affairs experience.
- Oncology and/or Hematology experience required (Lymphoma or Multiple Myeloma preferred).
- 2+ years leading a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Veeva.
- Residency in the Western US required.
