Director / Executive Director, Modeling & Simulation (Dual Level Posting)

Role: Lead and develop a high-impact team in multiscale disease modelling within Novartis' Translational Medicine, supporting portfolio decision-making from discovery through clinical development. Responsibilities include defining modelling strategies aligned with pipeline priorities, developing mechanistic models (e.g., QSP, systems biology, PK/PD-disease frameworks), integrating diverse data sources, and driving innovation in modelling approaches such as AI and digital twins. The role entails shaping scientific priorities, establishing modelling platforms, and influencing decision-makers through clear insights. Requirements: Ph.D. in biology, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field; 10+ (Director) to 15+ (Executive Director) years of relevant experience, with proven leadership and expertise in disease or pathway modelling, systems pharmacology, or mechanistic modelling. A strong understanding of drug discovery, development processes, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential. Preferred: established scientific credibility via publications or collaborations.
