Responsibilities:
- Own global executive compensation philosophy and program architecture (base, annual incentive, long-term incentive, executive benefits/perquisites).
- Advise CEO/CHRO/CFO/senior leadership and the Compensation & Benefits Committee on executive pay decisions, governance, and risk.
- Lead development and delivery of board/leadership compensation materials (annual cycles, special topics, ad hoc requests).
- Oversee executive market benchmarking and competitive intelligence (peer group design; pay and pay-for-performance interpretation).
- Drive continuous improvement of executive compensation processes, tools, and governance.
- Oversee executive lifecycle compensation decisions/administration (reviews, promotions, offers, transitions, separations).
- Own executive compensation disclosure strategy and delivery (CD&A, proxy statement tables, support for public filings).
- Oversee proxy advisor readiness/modeling (e.g., ISS, Glass Lewis) and scenario planning.
- Monitor executive compensation regulation, disclosure/accounting/tax implications, and shareholder voting trends.
- Set executive compensation communications strategy.
- Partner cross-functionally (Legal, Finance/Accounting, Tax, Audit, Total Rewards, independent consultant) to ensure governance and compliant deliverables.
- Build/lead/coach the executive compensation team.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 12+ years executive/equity compensation experience (global program design, governance, delivery).
- 5+ years people leadership.
- Exceptional communication; discretion; analytical and governance acumen; ability to synthesize complex inputs and deliver in fast-paced settings.
Preferred:
- MBA or advanced degree in HR/Business/Finance/Economics.
- Experience in highly regulated publicly traded global companies; healthcare/life sciences preferred.
