Director, Epidemiology & RWE Sciences

Role: Lead global epidemiology and real-world evidence (RWE) strategy for Ipsen’s oncology portfolio, supporting pre- and post-launch evidence generation across the product lifecycle. Responsibilities: define and execute integrated evidence plans (IEPs), oversee RWE studies (registries, observational studies, database analyses), ensure scientific and regulatory compliance, and contribute to SOP development. Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access, HEOR, Biostatistics, and Safety teams; serve as a subject matter expert; build RWE capacity; engage with external data partners and academic collaborators; support regulatory submissions and external licensing assessments; and mentor team members. Requirements: 8–10+ years in epidemiology, outcomes research, or RWE within pharma/biotech, with strong methodological, analytical, and study design expertise; experience in oncology or rare diseases preferred. Education: advanced degree (PhD, MD, MPH, or similar). Skills: proficiency in statistical software (SAS, R), excellent communication, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills; fluent in English. High-Value: oncology (high unmet need), epidemiology, observational study design, regulatory and payer engagement, data analytics, and global matrixed environment. Work setup: global, remote/hybrid environment likely, with some cross-border collaboration.
