Role: Lead global epidemiology and real-world evidence (RWE) strategy for Ipsen's rare disease portfolio, supporting both pre- and post-launch activities. Responsibilities: develop integrated evidence plans, oversee RWE studies (registries, observational research, database analyses), and ensure alignment with regulatory, payer, clinical, and medical needs. Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, HEOR, and Data Science teams; provide scientific leadership and methodological expertise; review study designs and regulatory submissions; and build external partnerships with academic and data organizations. Requirements: 8-10+ years in epidemiology or outcomes research within pharma/biotech, strong methodological and analytical skills, expert in data collection and innovative RWE methodologies, proficient in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R), and experience leading external research initiatives. Qualifications: advanced degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related; PhD or MD/MPH preferred; fluent in English. High-Value: focus on rare and ultra-rare indications, early- to late-stage development, global regulatory compliance, and innovative analytic approaches such as causal inference, hybrid designs, and machine learning.
