Director, Environmental Health and Safety

Role: Senior EHS Leader responsible for global Environmental, Health, and Safety strategy, compliance, and risk management within AbbVie's manufacturing and operational sites. Objectives include developing innovative EHS programs to prevent incidents, enhance regulatory compliance, and embed safety and sustainability into business practices. Responsibilities encompass leading a global team of EHS professionals, establishing standards and policies, negotiating with international regulatory agencies, and aligning EHS initiatives with business objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's in engineering, environmental science, occupational safety, or industrial hygiene; 15+ years of EHS experience with at least 10 years in managerial roles, including leading senior-level teams. Preferably with site-level technical expertise and international experience with global travel. Skills include strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and financial management.
