Role Summary
The Director, AI & Data Enterprise Architecture oversees Pfizer’s AI and data initiatives, guiding enterprise-wide architecture through digital platforms and products. This role translates deep technical expertise into business-facing outcomes, reports to the Senior Director of AI & Data Enterprise Architecture, and leads cross-functional efforts to drive strategic, long-term initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support business strategies and priorities across all domains in Pfizer involving AI & Data Enterprise Architecture.
- Deliver Enterprise Architecture Outcomes including detailed Solution Sketches, City Plans, and Solution Architecture Diagrams as necessary.
- Lead multifaceted, long-term initiatives with high strategic value, directing colleagues and contractors to produce enterprise guidance and roadmaps across multiple business lines and global organizations.
- Influence and direct a cross-functional team from creation centers, business architects, and technical SMEs toward a common technical vision.
- Advise senior leadership on emerging technology landscape externally and internally and enable adoption to minimize total cost of ownership and optimize the application portfolio.
- Lead initiatives to bring new technology into Pfizer, including contracting, co-leading RFIs/RFPs, and producing technical fit assessments of vendors.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s degree from an accredited institution
- 8+ years of experience in AI & Data Technology
- Deep technical knowledge of AI & Data programs, designs, and patterns in high tech and/or pharma domains
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills where you are not a direct manager
- Strong diplomacy skills; able to navigate a difficult political environment
- Execution mindset focused on delivering results quickly and simply
- Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Pharma processes compliant with industry regulations and quality standards (FDA, GxP)
- 5+ years of experience leading design and architecture of AI & Data solutions across procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and planning
- Experience using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and AI-driven technology programs
Skills
- Enterprise architecture, AI/ML platforms, data governance, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure)
- Strategy development, roadmapping, stakeholder management, vendor assessment
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration
Education
