Position Summary
- Lead the strategy, delivery, and operations of the Commercial IT applications and data ecosystem to support Commercial Operations, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs.
- Translate business strategy into enterprise technology roadmaps and deliver integrated systems including CRM, Commercial Data Warehouse, Master Data Management, and advanced analytics.
- Ensure launch readiness, operational excellence, and long-term scalability.
What you’ll do:
- Lead end-to-end strategy, design, implementation, and operations of Commercial IT and data ecosystem (CRM, Data Warehouse, MDM, analytics).
- Translate Commercial and Medical Affairs priorities into scalable, compliant solutions.
- Define technology roadmaps with governance, KPIs, and success metrics.
- Own delivery of integrated commercial systems and post-launch scalability.
- Serve as interface between Commercial applications and enterprise data/analytics platforms.
- Drive implementations, integrations, and enhancements across CRM, data warehouse, MDM, and reporting.
- Oversee vendors/service providers; manage performance, accountability, and financial outcomes.
- Develop/manage IT budgets, forecasts, and investment cases.
- Provide executive-level program status, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
- Build and lead teams (internal staff and external partners/MSPs).
- Assess emerging technologies (AI, data platforms, digital commercial ecosystems).
- Embed governance/compliance requirements (SOX, HIPAA, CFR 21 Part 11, Sunshine Act).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 12–15 years progressive IT experience, including 10+ years in leadership roles.
- Commercial IT experience across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch.
- Proven expertise in CRM (Salesforce/Veeva), Commercial Data Warehouse, MDM, reporting, analytics.
- Deep knowledge of Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs processes.
- Management experience in Commercial IT and Data Warehouse/Reporting; integrated platforms (Veeva CRM, Informatica, Snowflake, Databricks) plus advanced analytics/AI-ML.
- Strong knowledge of regulated environments (SOX, HIPAA, CFR 21 Part 11).
- Experience leading enterprise-scale programs; cloud architecture, integration frameworks, and data platforms.
- Hands-on leadership with analytical thinking, judgment, and execution.
Onsite: South San Francisco headquarters; onsite four days per week.
