Director, Engineering, Technical Expert Sterile Fill

Role: Senior technical leader for sterile fill engineering across AbbVie's biologics manufacturing portfolio, focusing on contamination control, aseptic processing design, and GMP readiness. Responsibilities: establish engineering standards and governance for biologics sterile fill, lead technical strategies for facility and equipment design aligned with EU GMP Annex 1, support strategic investment programs including new facilities and capacity expansion, and ensure contamination prevention and operational readiness. Collaborates with manufacturing, quality, validation, EHS, external partners, and cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence and compliance. Requirements: Bachelor's in Engineering or related field; 12+ years in biologics, sterile processing, or regulated manufacturing environments, with expertise in sterile fill systems, contamination control, GMP, validation, and strategic capital projects. Preferred: advanced degree, experience supporting pharma/biotech sterile manufacturing, and global cross-functional engagement.
