Director, Development Program Management provides operational leadership, direction and support to a team, program or project of moderate to large scope (within a given Therapeutic Area) and to the DPM department. Executes strategic program direction from preclinical through commercialization by driving integrated program plans, goals, budgets, and timelines; ensures successful operation of major organizational activities.

In a Typical Day You Will
- Provide operational leadership, direction and support of a program throughout its lifecycle by integrating stakeholders from Discovery, Manufacturing, Preclinical, Global Development and Commercial.
- Independently lead multiple or complex development programs.
- Partner with the Strategic Program Lead to facilitate cross-functional Strategic Development Team activities; assess and proactively address program needs from pre-IND through commercialization; make operational decisions; strengthen and lead high-performance teams.
- Drive team alignment on integrated project/program plans, timelines and budgets; ensure efficient delivery; direct annual program goal setting and monitor progress; champion risks and ensure contingency plans.
- Serve as liaison with strategic alliance partners and collaborators; manage major collaboration meeting presentations and facilitate decision-making supporting joint program objectives.
- Ensure effective, accurate, and timely scientific/technical program communication to the team and senior management (tailored to audience; captures rationale for decisions).

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree.
- 12+ years of in-house pharmaceutical program management.
- Knowledge of the drug development process and understanding of clinical trials.
