How You Will Contribute
- Provide strategic leadership for DMPK&M across multiple GI2 programs
- Serve as the DMPK&M representative on cross-functional research/global project teams
- Design and execute ADME strategies supporting IND and clinical progression
- Drive quantitative decision-making using PBPK, mechanistic PK/PD, and early feasibility analysis
- Enable prediction of human PK, dose selection, tissue exposure, and target engagement
- Identify and mitigate risks including DDI, variability, and absorption challenges
- Contribute to regulatory submissions and health authority interactions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical pharmacology, safety, CMC, and regulatory
- Manage resources and plan budgets efficiently for DMPK&M
- Mentor junior scientists and foster a data-driven culture
- Contribute to publications and external scientific engagement
Education and Experience / Qualifications
- PhD with 10+ years experience, or MS with 16+, or BS with 18+
- Experience across drug discovery and development
- Proven leadership on cross-functional project teams
- Strong background in ADME, translational science, and human PK prediction
- Experience collaborating with pharmacometrics or QSP teams
- Knowledge of regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA, ICH)
- Ability to integrate PK, PD, safety, and efficacy data
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying modeling & simulation frameworks to guide strategic decisions
- GI2 disease area experience is a plus

Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary
- U.S. Base Salary Range (Boston, MA): $177,000.00 - $278,080.00
- May include incentives; may offer medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, paid holidays, well-being benefits, sick time (up to 80 hours/year), and paid vacation (up to 120 hours for new hires).
