Director Development Operations
What You Will Do
- Partner with VP and Senior Leadership Team to develop organizational strategy and priorities for CRO contracted partners.
- Day-to-day oversight of Biosimilars strategic partners and suppliers, including metrics and dashboards.
- Lead or contribute to high-impact Global Development cross-functional/functional initiatives.
- Lead and manage budget planners to deliver budget forecasting and accurate spend reporting against Biosimilars Business Unit (BBU) contracts and budgets.
- Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers for Biosimilars outsourcing needs in partnership with Global Strategic Sourcing.
- Serve as primary point of contact for BBU CRO strategic partnerships: relationship management, performance oversight, and contract monitoring/amendments (liaising and negotiating with suppliers and internal customers).
- Partner with Finance, Global Strategic Sourcing, Buying Center, Accounts Payable, and external suppliers to execute organizational priorities.
- Manage CRO operations management team (OMT) governance.
- Oversee select business processes (centralized BBU PO processing and invoice issue escalation).
- Support BBU operations: PO execution compliance, analytical reference product procurement, and training.
- Represent Global Development Biosimilars and provide subject matter expertise.
- Manage and mentor staff; manage/execute emerging tasks requested by VP.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 4 years biopharma experience OR Master’s + 8 years OR Bachelor’s + 10 years (biopharma).
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA/PhD/PharmD/Master’s with 10 years life sciences/biopharma (prefer 4+ years in R&D).
- Proven leader of cross-functional teams and complex biopharma programs.
- Strong conceptual problem-solving; ability to structure vague problems and manage execution.
- Excellent cross-functional communication; decisive yet affiliative leadership.
- Strong influencing skills across levels.
- Demonstrated organization management experience (developing/mentoring staff).
