About This Role
As a Development Asset Lead (DAL), you will serve as a full-time leader for one or more preclinical or clinical stage assets within Development, providing strategic, multi-disciplinary drug development expertise. You will lead the asset team to drive development and execution of an Integrated Asset Plan (IAP), managing budgets and resources, collaborating across functions, and integrating business considerations of time, risk, and value. You will be accountable to governance mechanisms, represent the asset at portfolio forums, define clear asset goals aligned with the IAP, and partner with the Program Manager to execute the IAP effectively.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and refine the integrated plan for one or more assets to maximize value and execution.
- Establish asset goals, timelines, and risk management with project management functions.
- Drive accountability of functional team members and deliver functional-level plans aligned to asset strategy.
- Represent the asset at portfolio governance forums; engage senior stakeholders.
- Proactively engage stakeholders and governance to support asset execution and portfolio decisions.
- Create and maintain conditions for a strong team culture for planning and execution.
- Participate in the department community of practice to share learnings and promote synergies.

Who You Are / Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree strongly preferred (MS/MD/PhD/PharmD/MBA).
- 10+ years of drug development experience in pharma or biotech.
- Strategic leadership track record in cross-functional teams.
- Experience creating and executing clinical development plans aligned with strategic goals.
- Strong scientific/clinical acumen and therapeutic area understanding.
- Understanding of competitive and business implications of scientific/medical data.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with global regulatory requirements and processes.
- Knowledge of regional/country-specific requirements for patient populations and clinical endpoints.
- Ability to integrate commercial and competitive considerations into development strategies.
