Role Summary
The Director of Data and Analytics leads a global team responsible for advanced data research, analytics, and insights to support business operations. The role involves designing data mining architectures, statistical reporting, and analytics methodologies to identify trends in large data sets, applying AI/ML techniques to inform business decisions and drive value.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Plasma Derived Therapies (PDT) Data Strategy, Advanced Analytics, and Insights function; drive value through AI/ML and Generative AI applications.
- Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of advanced analytics products from ideation to deployment and optimization.
- Transform large volumes of data into actionable insights using cutting-edge AI techniques and quantitative methods.
- Guide teams in descriptive, predictive, prescriptive analytics and decision-making solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
- Own analytics solutions including descriptive/diagnostic/predictive/prescriptive analytics and decision support to influence business decisions.
- Develop PDT data acquisition and business intelligence strategies supporting multiple operating models (self-service and full-service analytics).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure analytics projects align with business priorities and strategic goals.
- Manage multiple parallel projects, risk identifications/mitigations, prioritization, and cost control.
- Oversee systems integration, data pipelines, and Data Ops to support both operational and analytic use cases with governance and security.
- Coordinate with Analytics, Data Science, and Technology teams to establish best practices for data usage and democratization.
- Monitor and improve the performance and effectiveness of data science products and analytics models; ensure data quality for decision making.
- Explore and integrate emerging technologies in data science, including Generative AI and cutting-edge advancements.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers; foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
- Strong background in advanced analytics, data visualization, and analytic solutions; approximately 10 years of experience.
- Experience with modern analytics tools and frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), AI/ML frameworks, data lakes and data warehouses.
- Proven track record in data modeling, data architecture, and large-scale data environments.
- Experience in AI-ready data preparation and harmonizing data from multiple sources; successful leadership of data architecture initiatives.

Education
