Responsibilities:
- Define and own Alnylam’s enterprise cybersecurity architecture and target state aligned to business growth, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
- Lead the design and evolution of a Zero Trust architecture (identity, least privilege, segmentation, continuous verification).
- Establish and maintain cyber reference architectures, design patterns, and standards across identity, cloud, applications, data, infrastructure, and endpoints.
- Serve as the senior security architecture authority for major enterprise initiatives, embedding security early and consistently.
- Partner with IT and expertise areas to align cybersecurity architecture with broader technology strategy and avoid fragmented solutions.
- Drive engineering execution to deliver resilient, enterprise-grade security capabilities.
- Provide architectural input into vendor selection, platform strategy, and solution design.
- Establish governance for architecture reviews, risk-based exceptions, and technical debt remediation.
- Translate cybersecurity strategy into multi-year roadmaps with milestones, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
- Define and track architecture-related metrics for risk reduction and maturity progression.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of security architects and engineers.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in cybersecurity/security architecture/enterprise tech design; 8+ years leading architecture or engineering teams.
- Certifications strongly preferred: CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, or equivalent.
- Deep expertise in IAM, cloud/hybrid environments, application/API security, Zero Trust, network segmentation, and data protection.
- Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust concepts.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders in regulated environments.
- Strong communication skills.

U.S. Pay Range:
- $199,800.00 - $270,300.00
