Role Summary

Director, Customer Insights - New Products. Regeneron is seeking a Director, Customer Insights - New Products to join our team. The role leads Customer Insights activities for Regeneronβ€šΓ„Γ΄s portfolio of investigational medicines from early stage through registrational development, partnering with Commercial and Global Development stakeholders to inform business decisions and drive launch readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead market research plans and individual projects that inform business decisions for Regeneron's investigational medicines
  • Inform cross-functional team efforts to maximize Insights and Analytics investments aligned with business priorities and launch excellence
  • Develop innovative I&A plans aligning with strategic imperatives, translating insights gaps into key business questions and informing the optimal research approach
  • Ensure I&A activities inform critical decision-points for clinical development and commercial launch excellence, including customer insights, analytics, and competitive intelligence needs
  • Implement robust market research plans to advance pipeline assets from target product profiles to differentiated market opportunities; guide development of launch analogs to support forecasting
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across New Products CBU, CSI&A, Strategic Planning and Global Development; balance project rigor, timelines, and influence
  • Manage market research suppliers to design, scope, execute and analyze research results and develop business implications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to influence data capabilities and stay informed on market landscape and competitive outlook for launch and post-launch
  • Demonstrate proficiency in primary research (qualitative and quantitative) and develop customized innovative research solutions for complex strategic issues
  • Recommend evidence-driven business-building ideas informed by customer and market insights
  • Manage all primary research in compliance with internal policies and preferred vendors
  • Synthesize insights from various sources to inform strategic choices and present findings to business teams and senior management
  • Consolidate data into actionable insights that identify business opportunities with portfolio implications
  • Provide summaries of research and insights for launch readiness discussions and commercial reviews

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required
  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience (or 10+ years for MBA/MS)
  • Functional expertise in business analytics, HCP consumer/patient insights, primary research methods, analog forecasting, and competitive intelligence
  • Proven success in using market research to inform important business decisions
  • Experience in survey design, data analysis (including secondary data), managing suppliers, presenting results, and recommending actions
  • Experience in biologic drugs and immunology (required)
  • Strong cross-functional communication and consensus-building skills
  • Technically proficient in marketing research methodologies with experience across multiple tools
  • Strong understanding of data sources and nomenclatures in product development
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory environment related to pharmaceutical commercialization
  • Flexibility, leadership, influence, and emotional intelligence when working with stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Concise, impactful written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence and drive decision-making
  • Expertise in data visualization and data storytelling of market research findings
