Position Summary:
The Director of Corporate Communications and Brand will develop and execute strategic corporate reputation, thought leadership, storytelling, and company positioning for short- and long-term visibility. Reports to the Vice President Corporate Communications.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage external press release communications to increase media pickup, website traffic, visibility, and reach.
- Handle day-to-day corporate communication writing and editing.
- Identify opportunities to position and promote Caris through internal/external content, message development, and media outreach.
- Implement communications and brand strategy aligned with marketing initiatives and business priorities.
- Define and communicate the company’s thought leadership platform to create engagement and stories.
- Identify brand and communications needs; recommend and align on communications approach.
- Advise on external communication strategies, competitive landscape, and messaging.
- Build and manage a presenter portfolio (interviews, backgrounders, speaking requests, briefing documents).
- Develop messaging and talking points for spokespeople (internal communications, media, speaking).
- Monitor internal/external environments for positioning opportunities.
- Collaborate with corporate communications and marketing to execute communication plans.
- Provide communications expertise/support to marketing, conferences, and events teams.

Required Qualifications:
- 10 years corporate communications experience.
- 5+ years healthcare communications, life sciences, or pharma.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, or related field.
- Exceptional writing/editing/reviewing skills.
- Independent decision-making, strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills; strong planning/organizational skills.
- Creative problem-solving and ability to work across organizational levels.
- Hybrid role: minimum 3 days/week onsite at corporate headquarters.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- Self-starter in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Other:
- Located in Irving, Texas; hybrid/in-office (not remote).
- Periodic travel and some evenings/weekends/holidays.
