Responsibilities:
- Lead infrastructure strategy, modernization, and day-to-day health of core infrastructure and cloud operations.
- Own infrastructure services across five facilities (3 US, 2 Ireland).
- Manage core platform and cloud operations: compute, virtualization, OS (Windows/Linux), storage, backup, networking, monitoring, patching, and infrastructure tooling.
- Drive modernization to improve reliability, resilience, scalability, security, supportability, and cost discipline.
- Transition new platforms/cloud services into sustainable operations with documentation, monitoring, controls, and support models.
- Own service reliability/availability, capacity planning, disaster recovery, business continuity, and major incident management.
- Govern vendor/cloud/managed service partner performance (commitments, improvement plans, contracts, governance).
- Manage infrastructure operating and capital budgets with spend visibility and cost management.
- Ensure security, quality, and compliance in a regulated environment.
- Partner with internal and external teams to strengthen accountability, execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications (Required):
- 12+ years progressive infrastructure/cloud/technology operations experience with enterprise leadership responsibility.
- Proven leadership of infrastructure engineering, delivery, cloud/technology operations teams.
- Broad technical depth across compute, virtualization, Windows/Linux, networking, storage, backup/recovery, monitoring, patching, automation, and cloud ops.
- Experience building infrastructure roadmaps and leading platform modernization/lifecycle/resiliency/service improvement.
- Experience managing strategic vendors, cloud providers, managed service providers, and global environments.
- Strong financial/vendor governance, risk management, and operational leadership skills.
- Ability to lead change, develop talent, influence across teams, and communicate with senior leaders.
- Bachelorβs in CS/Engineering/Information Systems (or equivalent).
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Life sciences/biotech/healthcare/manufacturing or other regulated industry experience.
- Working knowledge of GxP, FDA, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR and related compliance.
- Experience with business continuity, disaster recovery, audit readiness, or regulated infrastructure services.
Benefits/Compensation/Application Instructions:
- Annual base salary: $196,000β$218,000 plus annual performance bonus eligibility; competitive benefits package.
- Hybrid (Waltham, MA): 3 days/week onsite; not fully remote.
