Market Access
Responsibilities:
- Support development and execution of pricing and contracting strategies for pre-launch and in-market brands, aligned with commercial goals
- Lead creation of business cases to secure approval for major contracting initiatives
- Monitor market dynamics, policy changes, and competitor pricing to inform recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Finance, and others to refine strategies and ensure commercialization and profitability
- Support the Payer Team in key engagements/negotiations as needed
- Provide pricing and reimbursement insights on U.S. policy and legislative developments
- Partner with Finance on quarterly close processes (discount forecasting, GTN analytics, utilization by contract segment)
- Drive continuous improvement/innovation in pricing and contracting processes, tools, and governance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies related to pricing, contracting, and market access
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting
- 10+ years biotech/pharma experience; 5+ years in Market Access, Contracts & Pricing (or related)
- Extensive experience building/leading/executing pricing and contracting strategies
- Deep pricing/contracting analytics expertise (e.g., GTN forecasting and modeling)
- Proven ability to develop contract proposals (financial modeling, ROI assessments, GTN implications) and negotiate
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical contract administration systems/reporting across payer/provider/government/specialty pharmacy/distribution channels
- Expertise in pharmacy benefits (Medicare FFS/Managed Care, Medicaid) and federal purchasing programs (e.g., VA/DoD, 340B)
- Subject-matter expertise in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)
- Excellent communication skills; strong attention to detail; ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Willingness to travel as required
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA or related)
- Interest in science-driven storytelling and Arrowhead’s RNAi mission
California pay range: $230,000–$250,000 USD
