Role Summary

Director, Consumer & Patient Marketing responsible for defining and implementing consumer and patient brand strategy to drive brand awareness and shape a positive patient experience. Plays a critical role in launch success through creative and impactful DTC/DTP initiatives. Ideal for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial setting and is excited to shape a brand from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Define the consumer and patient brand strategy, including patient journey, positioning, segmentation, and messaging
  • Partner with market research to identify actionable patient insights to drive innovation and ideation in DTC and DTP strategies
  • Lead creative and digital agencies to develop out of the box, high-impact, multichannel consumer and patient campaigns
  • Oversee the development of unbranded and branded patient education materials, support programs, and engagement tools
  • Collaborate with Market Access to design innovative patient support programs to support patient onboarding, adherence, and retention
  • Work closely with internal teams (Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance) to ensure compliant and aligned messaging
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional strategies through campaign measurement and metrics development to ensure positive return on investment and achievement of brand objectives

Qualifications

  • MBA or bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience with at least 5 years building and executing marketing strategies
  • DTC, patient strategy, and launch experience is strongly preferred
  • Cardiovascular or chronic disease experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute consumer/patient brand strategy and bring new thinking to promotional campaigns
  • Previous experience collaborating with market access and designing patient support programs to support patient onboarding, adherence, and retention
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • A self-starter mindset with high personal accountability, resourcefulness, and a collaborative spirit
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Education

  • MBA or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing

Additional Requirements

  • Travel up to 20% (some travel may be international)
