About the Role
Director, Consumer IBD Marketing will lead consumer marketing strategy development and tactical execution to drive an impactful, cohesive patient engagement strategy across channels, including brand messaging and campaign development with significant TV/CTV advertising. Champions patient-centric initiatives (e.g., patient ambassador programs) to ensure authentic patient voice.
How you will contribute
- Lead consumer promotional strategy development and tactical execution; ensure alignment with HCP brand initiatives.
- Oversee creation/implementation of consumer messaging across channels, including TV/CTV ads and promotional materials.
- Identify patient journey barriers and design content/programs to address them.
- Manage agency relationships and media/OPEX budgets to ensure efficient investment and measurable impact.
- Drive omnichannel execution (CRM, patient journey design, website strategy).
- Build data-driven, full-funnel media strategies engaging patients throughout the journey.
- Partner with Analytics & Insights to optimize marketing mix and ROI.
- Develop branding guidelines and core claims documentation.
- Guide staff development (expertise, awareness, exposure, career growth).
- Manage OPEX budget and co-manage Agency of Record.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 10+ years marketing (pharma preferred) with people management experience.
- Deep understanding of patient journeys, communication channels, and tactic design.
- Strong marketing strategy/tactic planning; communicate with internal partners and agencies.
- Experience leveraging data/analytics for decision making.
- Consumer marketing with media experience (digital; broadcast/media planning preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, collaboration.
- Strategic planning/implementation, people development, and OPEX budgeting.
