Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end compliance investigations from evaluating initial allegations to recommending remedial action to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies across the U.S. and internationally.
- Respond to alleged violations of the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics by evaluating or recommending initiation of investigative procedures.
- Liaise with Compliance and Law Department functions in the U.S. and globally to ensure integrated support and timely updates.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on risks arising from international laws, codes, and regulations.
- Provide input into policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Monitor and assess legislative and regulatory developments impacting global operations.
Qualifications / Required:
- JD with 8+ years of validated experience.
- At least 2 years working in or with pharmaceutical companies on healthcare compliance related activities.
- Licensed to practice law in New York or eligible for licensure as a registered in-house counsel.
Preferred / Skills:
- Experience conducting internal, compliance, and/or government investigations.
- Strong influencing skills; ability to inspire change related to implementing remedial actions.
- Ability to deliver sound, clear compliance advice in a business setting.
- In-depth knowledge of anti-kickback and anti-bribery prohibitions for pharmaceutical sales and promotion, Open Payments Act reporting obligations, and other key pharmaceutical compliance laws.
