Job Summary
- US-based hybrid role: advise Global and US business colleagues on initiatives, advancing strategy while identifying/mitigating risk and protecting integrity and reputation.
- Provide timely, practical compliance oversight, guidance, and direction; identify where compliance input is needed.
- Serve as compliance representative on leadership and cross-functional teams; deliver strategic/tactical guidance for fact- and risk-based decisions.
- Partner with OBIE Training & Communications on compliance trainings and regular communications.
- Maintain expertise in current/emerging US laws, regulations, codes, and enforcement actions; inform/educate business colleagues with tailored training/communications.
- Build relationships and collaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and other functional areas globally.
- Help establish standards and implement procedures to ensure an effective, efficient compliance program.
- Support continuous improvement of the Global Compliance program.
Qualifications / Preferred Experience
- 8β10 years post-JD experience counseling in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry (in-house in competitive disease areas strongly preferred, or mix of firm + in-house).
- Law degree and legal experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of biopharma compliance laws/regulations and guidance (FD&C Act, FDA guidance, anti-kickback statutes, OIG guidance/advisory opinions, False Claims Act, PhRMA Code).
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance, ethics, and accountability.
- Strong communication, influencing, analytical, project management, discretion, and cross-functional collaboration; ability to travel as needed; MS Office proficiency.
Pay/Compensation (as stated)
- $200,000β$300,000 base; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
