Position Summary
Director, Commercial Supply Chain to lead end-to-end commercial supply planning and operational launch readiness for Darovasertib, ensuring product availability, compliant distribution, and performance management. Reports to VP, Clinical and Commercial Supply Chain; South San Francisco, CA; onsite four days per week.
What youβll do:
- Own commercial supply strategy and launch readiness plans.
- Develop and maintain integrated demand/supply plans, production schedules, capacity models, inventory strategy, and scenario analyses.
- Lead S&OP cadence: monthly supply reviews, risk/opportunity assessments, mitigation actions, and executive reporting.
- Lead end-to-end GxP/SOX-compliant inventory management (policy setting, reconciliation, cycle counting oversight, expiry tracking); NetSuite Inventory Module system owner.
- Manage external network execution; align campaign plans/batch execution to forecasts and contractual commitments.
- Partner with Finance/Accounting for reconciliations, chargebacks, rebates, etc.
- Oversee commercial packaging readiness (secondary packaging/labeling, serialization, artwork lifecycle, shipping lane validation, cold-chain controls, exceptions).
- Primary point of contact for packaging, labeling, logistics, and storage vendors; establish vendor governance.
- Build/monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement of planning tools/processes.
- Partner with Quality/Regulatory/CMC for GxP release/distribution readiness aligned to registration timelines.
- Support budgeting/forecasting for commercial supply activities; scenario-based financial impact modeling.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Life Sciences (advanced degree preferred).
- 10β12+ years biotech/pharma supply chain; 3+ years commercial and/or late-stage launch readiness.
- California Board of Pharmacy DR experience (or eligibility/willingness).
- Experience managing external manufacturing and supply partners.
- Strong GMP/GDP knowledge, regulatory timing impacts, and global distribution logistics.
- Advanced planning/analytics skills (Excel and/or supply planning tools); strong cross-functional leadership/communication.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity; ability to build processes βfrom the ground up.β
- Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint/Box; NetSuite inventory systems.
- Domestic and international travel as needed.
