The Role
As Director of Commercial Data Science and Advanced Analytics, you will lead a high-impact team across Commercial and Medical Affairs, shaping and advancing Data Science, Advanced Analytics and AI initiatives across the US Market. Based in Princeton, NJ.

Work arrangement
- Flexibility to work away from the office 20%–40% of a typical schedule (not to exceed 40% within a 60-day period), approved by the hiring manager.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and drive advanced analytics strategy aligned to Commercial and Medical Affairs across Hematology and Solid Tumors.
- Identify, prioritize, and shape high-impact analytics use cases; build business cases for investment and innovation.
- Advise senior stakeholders using data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Champion a test-and-learn approach; design and execute experiments for scalable deployment.
- Establish and evolve best practices, frameworks, and governance for advanced analytics.
- Build cross-functional partnerships to embed analytics into core processes.

Team Leadership and Delivery
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of data scientists and external consultants.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of analytics initiatives across the commercial portfolio.
- Lead in-market Data Science priorities (e.g., Marketing Mix, Omnichannel Analytics, other advanced analytics use cases across commercial and medical affairs).
- Guide advanced methodologies (statistical modeling, machine learning, large language models).
- Translate analytics outputs into business implications and recommended actions.
- Communicate with senior US Market stakeholders; synthesize complex analyses into clear narratives.
- Oversee external vendors/consultants; ensure quality delivery and knowledge transfer.
- Partner with AI Labs and Data Product/US Market teams to operationalize and scale solutions.
- Drive adoption of AI productivity tools; embed into day-to-day analytics workflows.

Requirements
- MS or PhD in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics).
- 12+ years of experience in advanced analytics or data science.
- Demonstrated leadership of in-market advanced analytics teams across Commercial and/or Medical Affairs.
- Proven track record translating analytics into measurable business impact.
- Strong expertise in data science, marketing analytics, and/or real-world evidence generation.
- Fluency with real-world datasets (claims, EHR, lab data).
- Experience with customer and patient journey analytics.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and/or SQL; experience with cloud-based data environments.
- Experience with commercial data sources (Rx, claims, payer, formulary, HCP data).
- Strong business acumen; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally and managing external partners/consultants.
- Experience with AI productivity tools.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile environment and lead through ambiguity.

Preferred
- Experience in Oncology or Rare Disease.
