Director, Commercial Analytics HIV Integrated Insights (Foster City, CA)
Responsibilities
- Manage tasks, activities, and contractors supporting the HIV business unit; manage complex, cross-functional projects.
- Lead development of data-based insights to inform brand, franchise, and business unit strategy and execution.
- Develop and report performance/KPIs; share best practices across TAs.
- Collaborate with brand marketing leadership to establish an annual business analytics plan for each brand.
- Leverage data/analytics to develop insights to inform each brand’s strategy through the BPOA (Brand Plan of Action) process.
- Conduct analytics projects for business issues including HCP/patient segmentation, customer journey and treatment flow analytics, and sampling strategy.
- Design and implement HQ-facing dashboards and reports for performance reporting/diagnostics.
- Evaluate new secondary data sources and analytics methodologies.
- Integrate insights from multiple sources to deliver opportunities and market context; consolidate into actionable brand opportunities.
- Provide objective quantitative analyses and lead business case development to address key brand/TA opportunities and issues.
- Ensure business analytics context is integrated into Tactic Measurement and Marketing Mix to inform Forecasting.
- Identify opportunities to integrate new capabilities and AI technologies.
- Interact with internal customers (marketing, commercial operations—digital analytics, data governance, sales analytics—and IT); act as a cross-functional SME.
- Lead quarterly functional reviews with stakeholders to share insights and analysis.
- Manage stakeholder relationships in Marketing and Commercial operations.
- Manage external consulting resources from a project delivery perspective.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial analytics skills; experience managing projects/initiatives.
- Required: pharmaceutical or consumer data analytics/insight experience.
- Desired: experience in HIV/virology therapy; experience with provider-administered (e.g., buy-and-bill) products.
- MBA or Master’s preferred (preferred concentrations: healthcare, general management, analytics, data sciences).
Required/Preferred Skills
- Ability to synthesize insights from multiple sources and deliver strategic guidance for brand teams.
- Strong business/marketing acumen; excellent communication and interpersonal skills (consultative background preferred).
- Ability to gain consensus and work effectively in a matrix environment; collaborative and influencing.
- Proven storytelling and data visualization to communicate complex analytics to cross-functional stakeholders and senior management.
- Proficiency in secondary data analysis; intimate knowledge of secondary data sources (e.g., IMS, WK, IPSOS).
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Tableau, MS Word, PowerPoint.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 12 years’ experience OR Master’s + 10 years’ OR PhD + 8 years’.
