Role Summary

Director, Commercial Analytics and Performance Reporting. Lead our Commercial Analytics activities to drive robust analytical insights that inform critical business questions and maximize commercial opportunities. Communicate intricate data concepts and drive action among stakeholders through compelling presentations and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of strategies to align analytics initiatives with business goals
  • Frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to performance reporting for senior commercial leaders
  • Create in-house insights-ready reports and dashboards from internal and secondary data sources
  • Evaluate, track, and report brand performance metrics and KPIs with leadership presentations
  • Tell a compelling data-driven story and provide actionable recommendations
  • Advance use of data sources and reporting with cross-functional partners
  • Continuously improve capabilities to maximize competitive advantages
  • Leverage diverse datasets to inform marketing, sales strategies, customer experience, and omnichannel programs
  • Oversee data quality management for assigned brands with data providers; resolve data inquiries
  • Lead vendors/offshore data partners to synthesize analysis into actionable recommendations
  • Establish trust-based partnerships and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Identify caveats and uncertainties in data relative to business questions
  • Contribute to building and standardizing commercial reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytic discipline; Master’s degree or MBA preferred; 10+ years of progressive leadership in analytics
  • Strong analytical and coding skills (Python, R, SQL); MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Knowledge of internal sales data and third-party pharmaceutical data sources
  • Experience developing BI tools for commercial pharma applications (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • Expertise in data-driven analysis and reporting that drives business results
  • Strong leadership and presentation skills; ability to persuade and influence
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven team player; ability to meet deadlines and work independently
