Director, Clinical Science (reporting to VP, Clinical Science)

Location: San Francisco, CA or Cambridge, MA; up to 20% travel.

Responsibilities:
- Write technical and clinical documents (protocols, amendments, investigator’s brochures, and regulatory clinical sections)
- Identify and track potential safety events within a trial
- Interact with investigators and oncology thought leaders to facilitate clinical synopses and protocol design
- Evaluate safety, pharmacology, and efficacy of ongoing studies with the medical monitor and safety/pharmacology/clinical operations teams
- Perform study-level and subject-level analysis to support Clinical Study Report (CSR) writing
- Contribute to and/or review abstracts, publications, and presentations for scientific meetings
- Maintain oncology therapeutic area clinical/technical expertise
- Attend scientific meetings relevant to clinical science activities
- Collaborate on enrollment packets, clinical development plans, and scientific presentations
- Collaborate to develop informed consent forms, case report forms, and CRF instructions
- Participate in ongoing clinical data review with cross-functional teams
- Support development of agendas, training materials, and presentations for site visits/investigator meetings
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and uphold ethical behavior

Qualifications:
- PhD or PharmD strongly preferred
- Oncology clinical development experience required
- Minimum 8 years in biotech/pharmaceutical industry required
- Strong GCP knowledge; knowledge of FDA and EMEA/CHMP regulations/guidelines (other international requirements a plus)

Compensation:
- Base pay range expected: $220,000–$250,000 annually; total compensation includes equity, bonus, and benefits.
