Role: The Director, Clinical Science supports the clinical development of Lyellβs next-generation CAR T-cell therapies for solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Primary objectives include partnering on study design, medical monitoring, data review, and regulatory documentation to ensure adherence to GCP and regulatory standards. Responsibilities encompass oversight of pivotal clinical trials (PiNACLE and PiNACLE-H2H), collaboration on protocol development, and coordination with cross-functional teams to facilitate trial execution, data analysis, and publication efforts. The role involves external stakeholder engagement, including site investigators and regulatory bodies, and participation in scientific meetings. Qualifications: PhD, PharmD, or related advanced degree; 10+ years in clinical research, with at least 4 years in oncology clinical development, especially in cell therapy, immuno-oncology, or T-cell therapies. Proven experience in trial design, execution, and oversight, coupled with knowledge of GCP, regulatory submissions, and data interpretation. Preferred skills include strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
