Director Clinical Operations

Role: Director of Clinical Operations at Takeda, remotely based, reporting to the Senior Director. Responsibilities: lead and oversee the execution of large, complex clinical programs within a Therapeutic Area Unit, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines; manage cross-functional teams, strategic partners, and vendors; contribute to development plans, oversee program budgets and external spend; ensure inspection readiness and compliance with global regulatory standards; represent Clinical Operations in senior management and governance forums; participate in business development activities; and support resource planning. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field, with 12+ years in pharma or CRO, including 9+ years managing clinical studies, particularly Phase 2 and 3, with global program experience. Expertise in regulatory compliance (ICH-GCP, CFR, EU CTD) and leadership skills essential. Preferred: experience across multiple therapeutic areas, line management, and innovation in clinical operations. High-value: leadership in high-stakes, global clinical development, with a focus on quality, compliance, and operational excellence in the biopharma industry. Work setup: remote in Massachusetts, with up to 10% travel including international site visits.
