Director Clinical Operations

Role: Director, Clinical Operations overseeing large, complex clinical programs within a Therapeutic Area Unit, primarily focusing on global, multi-indication studies. Responsibilities: lead program execution, manage cross-functional teams, oversee CRO/vendor selection and performance, ensure regulatory compliance and inspection readiness, contribute to development and operational strategies, and manage budgets and external partnerships. Provide leadership and expert counsel across clinical development activities, representing Clinical Operations in senior management and governance forums. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field; 12+ years in pharma/clinical research, including 9+ years in study management with early-phase or Phase 2/3 global programs; proven leadership, project management, and regulatory compliance expertise; fluency in business English; ability to influence without authority. Preferred: Advanced degree, experience in multiple therapeutic areas, supervisory background, innovative operational approach, and global regulatory knowledge. High-Value: Focus on late-stage clinical trials, global/international scope, vendor oversight, inspection readiness, and cross-functional leadership. Work Setup: Remote Massachusetts; travel up to 10%, including international.
