Role: Director of Clinical Management within AbbVie's R&D Device and Combination Product Development (DCPD) focused on medical devices and drug delivery systems in the therapeutic areas of aesthetics and possibly other pipelines. The role involves strategic and operational leadership to ensure device readiness across global clinical trials, integrating devices throughout development phases. Responsibilities include defining and executing global strategies, leading cross-functional collaborations (including Clinical Development, Regulatory, Quality, Human Factors, Systems Engineering), and overseeing device-related activities from study initiation to completion. The director will develop and mentor a global team, establish scalable processes, and influence organizational decision-making. Key functions also encompass resource prioritization, process improvement, and risk mitigation related to device development and regulatory submissions. Qualifications require a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Science or related fields, with extensive (10-18 years) leadership experience in healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals, including clinical program oversight and organizational development. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage complex portfolios, and navigate cross-functional activities is essential. Technical proficiency in medical devices or pharma, with experience in design control processes, is preferred. The position offers global scope with potential for remote or hybrid work, and emphasizes leadership in a matrix environment.
