Director, Clinical Imaging, Translational Sciences-Immunology

Role: Director of Clinical Imaging within Translational Science for Immunology at Johnson & Johnson, focusing on developing imaging endpoints to support gastrointestinal (GI) disease programs across early to late-phase trials. Responsibilities include leading the GI imaging measurement strategy, integrating imaging and AI-enabled digital endpoints to inform mechanistic and regulatory decisions, and overseeing clinical trial execution related to imaging methods. The role emphasizes innovation, platform development, and scalable solution delivery, partnering across functions such as Data Sciences, Regulatory, and Clinical Development. Requirements: PhD or MD with ≥10 years in pharma or biotech R&D, proven experience applying imaging in clinical trials, and effective leadership in matrixed environments. Preferred: experience with GI diseases (Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis), AI/ML analytics, regulatory interactions, and external collaborations. The position entails strategic planning, operational oversight, and fostering external partnerships, with a focus on advancing next-generation imaging technologies and digital biomarkers. It reports to senior leadership, influences cross-functional teams, and involves shaping the future of imaging in immunology drug development.
