Position Summary:
Director, CDA Strategy—lead the strategy, technology roadmap, and processes for acquiring data for clinical trials. Provide data aligned to end-to-end data strategies, enable analysis/reporting, and promote automation.
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive clinical trial data acquisition strategy across site (EDC), external vendor, eCOA, and device/digital data; develop roadmaps to embed automation and AI.
- Define processes/technologies/data flows for new data types and updates; ensure standardization and integration across end-to-end data flow.
- Develop data collection components that optimize site/patient experience and meet downstream analysis/reporting needs.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives (e.g., EMR→EDC) including charters, plans, sponsorship communications, implementation plans, and delivery end-to-finish.
- Create senior leadership communications/business cases; make decisions and solve complex problems.
- Monitor industry evolution to enhance UX, leverage automation/AI, improve efficiency, and make investment decisions.
- Develop/maintain procedural documents aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with internal leaders (GDM, DQS, Drug Development) and vendors; represent BMS in external committees/groups.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in clinical data acquisition strategy/technology/process across modalities (site-collected, external, eCOA, device/digital), including integration, automation, and AI.
Key Competencies/Skills:
- Deep knowledge of end-to-end clinical data flows; EDC (Medidata Rave), eCOA, external vendor and digital/device data.
- Automation/AI enablement; cross-functional strategic project delivery.
- Strong decision-making, problem solving, communication, and GCP/ICH knowledge.
