Purpose of Role and Responsibilities:
- Generate insights and transfer knowledge on environmental trends, policy, and channel dynamics; lead and influence so insights are built into company and brand strategies.
- Develop and catalyze innovative access solutions across in-line and pipeline asset access strategies; align with Executive Leadership, USMAx, Payer Strategy, Pipeline Strategy, Brand Teams, and External Affairs.
- Collaborate with Payer Strategy, Pipeline, Trade, and Account teams to ensure channel deliverables are fit-for-purpose; share accountability for strategic recommendations.
- Partner with Payer Strategy on prioritized strategic projects for the brand.
- Consult with Pipeline and Business Development to inform licensing/acquisition work based on channel dynamics and opportunities.
- Coordinate with USMAx leadership and cross-functional partners (e.g., Government/Public Affairs, Business Evolution & Strategy Development, IRA Center of Excellence) to incorporate USMAx perspective and influence policy externally.
- Orchestrate project work across internal teams and external partners (agencies, consultants, customers, Market Access Insights).
- Build customer connections with Account Management Teams; align customer perspectives with AbbVie market approach.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or business; advanced healthcare/pharmacy degree preferred (MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD).
- Minimum 10 years in Pharmaceutical Market Access, Healthcare, or Policy.
- Expertise in US access, reimbursement, and pricing (pharmacy and medical); knowledge of government/commercial payer dynamics (pricing, contracting, PBM, Medicare, Medicaid, other channels).
- Cross-functional experience (marketing, customer engagement/negotiation, finance, regulatory, R&D, medical, and/or HEOR).
- Strong communication, storytelling, and executive presence; ability to build stakeholder relationships.
