Purpose Of Role And Responsibilities
- Generate insights and transfer knowledge related to environmental trends, policy, and channel dynamics; ensure insights are built into company and brand strategies.
- Catalyze innovative access solutions across the organization, including contributions to in-line and pipeline assets’ access strategies; influence and align with Executive Leadership, USMAx leadership, Payer Strategy, Pipeline Strategy, Brand Teams, and External Affairs.
- Collaborate with Payer Strategy, Pipeline, Trade, and Account teams to ensure channel insights/deliverables are fit-for-purpose and actionable; share accountability to pull through strategic recommendations.
- Partner with Payer Strategy teams on prioritized strategic projects critical to the brand.
- Consult with Pipeline team and Business Development to inform licensing and acquisition work based on channel dynamics and opportunity.
- Collaborate with USMAx leadership and partner teams (e.g., Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Strategy Development, IRA Center of Excellence) to incorporate USMAx perspective into corporate strategies and influence policy externally.
- Orchestrate project work across internal teams and external partners (agencies, consultants, customers, Market Access Insights).
- Create customer connections with Account Management Teams; influence customer viewpoints to align with AbbVie market approaches.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in science/business; advanced degree in healthcare/pharmacy focus preferred (MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD).
- Minimum 10 years in Pharmaceutical Market Access, Healthcare, or Policy.
- Expertise in US access, reimbursement, and pricing (pharmacy and medical); strong knowledge of government/commercial payer dynamics (PBM, Medicare, Medicaid, other channels).
- Cross-functional experience (marketing, customer engagement/negotiation, finance, regulatory, R&D, medical, HEOR).
- Strong communication/storytelling and executive presence; ability to build stakeholder relationships.
