Director, Business Strategy and Operations

Role: Director, Business Strategy & Operations, partnering with the US Commercial GM to enhance organizational effectiveness and strategic planning. Responsibilities: serve as a trusted advisor, translating corporate strategy into actionable plans, leading annual business and resource planning, managing governance processes, aligning cross-functional initiatives, and supporting major product launches and leadership meetings. Also focuses on improving organizational communication, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness. Qualifications: advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent with relevant seniority; experience in biopharma or pharma leading strategic and operational initiatives, preferably in oncology or cell therapy, with a strong grasp of business planning, financial analysis, and change management. Preferred skills include executive presence, stakeholder management, enterprise mindset, and proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments. Work setup: based at Santa Monica, CA, with a transition planned to El Segundo or Thousand Oaks in 2027; hybrid work model with two remote days and three onsite days.
