Position Summary:
Director, Business Operations responsible for driving operational efficiency, strategic alignment, and financial governance to ensure success of Global Quality initiatives and integration with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as primary Finance liaison at GQ level (150M+ budget oversight): budget allocation, forecasting, and spend tracking.
- Create an integrated strategy execution roadmap with transparency, prioritization, and business impact.
- Maintain/enhance governance structures; use resource allocation and financial planning frameworks for leadership decisions.
- Ensure timely reporting and cross-functional coordination of key initiatives; drive benefits realization.
- Lead GQ-wide financial tracking and forecasting aligned with GPS Finance and Procurement.
- Use data analytics to improve efficiencies, optimize resources, enhance cost-effectiveness, and mitigate risks.
- Partner with Finance and Change Management; establish continuous improvement initiatives and embed best practices.
- Develop operating models, governance frameworks, and KPI tracking; lead change management for transformation and process optimization.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Finance, or related field; Master’s strongly preferred.
- 10+ years in strategy execution, business operations, portfolio governance, and financial planning (biopharmaceutical/life sciences preferred).
- Strong business acumen, continuous improvement mindset, and data-driven leadership.
- Expertise in governance/strategic execution using digital technology in a global matrix.
- Proven financial management, budget governance, and resource allocation.
- Executive communication and stakeholder influence at all levels.
- Experience leading large-scale transformation and enterprise governance.
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or PfMP highly desirable.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Starting range: $190,060–$230,308 (Madison/Giralda, New Brunswick, Princeton—NJ).
