Role Summary

Director, Business Finance. Leadership role within the North America Finance team, embedded in operations, providing decision support for the NA Commercial business and guiding finance teams and Global Business Services through key financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for US operations, including LBE, AOP, and LRP with detailed forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of financial forecasting processes, including communications, timetables, and data requirements.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and identifying cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support senior leadership with ad hoc research and analysis for strategic projects.
  • Drive quarterly close processes and ensure accuracy of actuals; liaise between corporate finance requirements and local execution.
  • Lead internal calls and meetings with agendas, goals, and tracking of deliverables.
  • Prepare and present financial results and insights to leadership teams.
  • Champion continuous improvement in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including systems optimization; contribute to SAC Task Force.
  • Mentor and collaborate with Global Business Services offshore teams supporting NA Finance to ensure high performance and development.
  • Drive automation and technology integration to improve forecasting and reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Eight to ten years in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Skills: Ability to manage ambiguity and multiple priorities; proactive, results-driven, and self-starting; strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to distill large data sets into clear narratives for senior leadership; ethical handling of confidential information; strong business acumen and curiosity; strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Technical: Advanced financial modeling; experience with financial planning systems and data extraction; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAC, BI, SAP, and AI tools is a plus.
