Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead large business-critical vaccine projects (one or several indications) in clinical development or post-marketing.
- With minimal Biostat Franchise Lead oversight, direct biostatistical contributions and provide scientific leadership for project plans, studies, and submissions activities (when applicable), ensuring quality, external stakeholder relevance (e.g., regulatory authorities, medical journals), and scientific validity.
- Mentor and lead global Biostatistical and Scientific Programming team members in France/US/China or India; promote global teamwork, quality, operational efficiency, innovation; ensure compliance with SOPs and departmental standards.
- Plan and track Global Biostatistical Sciences activities, timelines, and resource use globally; justify resource needs; optimize resource utilization; ability to respond to unscheduled increases in workload.
- Ensure productive cross-functional collaborations and communication with senior leadership.
- Represent biostatistics in cross-functional working groups within or outside the company; contribute to operational process optimization and provide inputs to statistics standards.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD/MS in statistics or related discipline with at least 8 years of pharmaceutical experience.
- Strong project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and techniques.
- Proven experience in clinical development or post-marketing activities (e.g., submissions, interactions with regulatory agencies/external stakeholders).
- Experience in the relevant therapeutic area desired.
- Ability to represent the company in cross-company activities (e.g., consortiums/professional associations).
