Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of direct reports (may include other people leaders), including hiring, developing, retaining diverse talent, setting clear team goals, and coaching on performance, development, and career interests.
- Collaborate with Statistical Programming, Biostatistics, Clinical Research, Clinical Data Management, Global Drug Safety, Regulatory and Project Management to meet project deliverables and timelines for statistical data analysis and reporting.
- Oversee and contribute to completion of all technical and operational statistical activities for multiple development programs for a compound (or equivalent) through management of internal and external resources.
- Provide overall leadership for a departmental strategic initiative with experience supervising personnel.
Requirements:
- PhD with 8 years of industry experience OR Masterβs with 10 years OR Bachelorβs with 14 years.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Uses knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding statistical principles to ensure regulatory, scientific, and business objectives are met.
- Collaborate with study investigators, outside experts, and internal colleagues to present and publish trial results and statistical analyses.
- Negotiate project timelines within constraints; work with senior management and HR to identify long-term staffing plans and provide career development opportunities.
- Participate in strategic risk assessment based on statistical analyses or principles.
- Set up and influence collaborations with external academic or government organizations.
- Ability to set up data monitoring committees for clinical studies.
- Experience using competitive intelligence to influence clinical development strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of the business beyond Biostatistics and recognized authority outside the company.

- Salary range: Bay Area $226,185.00β$292,710.00; Other US Locations $205,615.00β$266,090.00.
