Director, Biostatistics

Role: Director of Biostatistics leading statistical strategies for Amylyx's clinical programs targeting diseases like PBH, Wolfram syndrome, and ALS. Responsibilities: provide strategic leadership on statistical approaches across phases I-III, oversee trial design and statistical deliverables, manage CRO/vendor activities, mentor statisticians, and communicate insights to stakeholders. Requirements: PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics or related field with 10+ years (PhD) or 14+ years (MSc) of experience in clinical trials, proficiency in SAS/R, deep knowledge of trial design and regulatory standards, experience with safety/efficacy analyses and regulatory interactions preferred. High-value: focus on late-phase (Phases I-III), biologics or small molecules in serious neurological or metabolic conditions, with global regulatory engagement, GxP compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. Work setup: primarily remote within the US with frequent travel (~3 times/year) to Cambridge, MA. Compensation: $221,000–$249,000 USD.
