Role: Lead the biology organization for radiopharmaceutical discovery at RayzeBio, overseeing target discovery, validation, pharmacology, and candidate selection from initial identification to IND-enabling studies. Responsibilities: develop and execute biological strategies, build and lead a multidisciplinary team, integrate molecular biology, imaging, radiochemistry, and pharmacology data, and guide mechanism-of-action and translational research. Provide strategic leadership for quantitative pharmacology platforms and target engagement assays, ensuring robust biochemical, cellular, and imaging data to support candidate advancement. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including radiochemistry, medicinal chemistry, DMPK, and clinical development; serve as a project and portfolio leader; and foster external scientific collaborations. Manage and mentor scientific staff, establish organizational goals, and promote innovative research approaches. Qualifications: PhD in Cancer Biology, Pharmacology, or related field; 12+ years in biotech/pharma with proven leadership in oncology drug discovery; experience advancing programs from target identification through candidate selection; strong understanding of target biology relevant to radioligand therapies, including internalization, biodistribution, and dosimetry; excellent communication and team-building skills. Preferred: direct experience with radiopharmaceuticals, support of IND filings, and knowledge of theranostics and biomarker-driven strategies. Location: San Diego; senior leadership role with strategic impact on next-generation radiopharmaceutical therapies.
