Role: Lead the Innovative Technology and Methodology within Analytical Development, reporting to the Head of Analytical Development. Objectives: establish and execute a scientific strategy for next-generation analytical methods and technologies, supporting clinical and commercial mRNA and biologics products. Responsibilities: oversee the development of an innovation pipeline from identification to lifecycle adoption, collaborate with cross-functional teams (Analytical Sciences, QC, Regulatory, Digital), and drive modernization of analytical methodologies across platforms like separation sciences, molecular, biophysical, and advanced characterization. Lead method transformation efforts to replace legacy systems with robust, scalable, automation-ready approaches, ensuring compliance with ICH Q14/Q2(R2), GMP, and regulatory standards. Build external networks with vendors, academic institutions, and consortia to accelerate innovation, while advancing digital and AI-enabled analytical solutions. Define success metrics for innovation projects, including robustness, throughput, and network adoption. Lead, develop, and inspire scientific talent to foster a culture of disciplined experimentation and impactful innovation. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields with 12+ years (or M.S./B.S. with 18+ years) of relevant experience in biologics or vaccines development. Preferred skills include expertise in analytical method lifecycle management, experience with emerging technologies (automation, digital tools, AI/ML), and familiarity with mRNA or advanced modalities. This role requires deep scientific judgement, cross-functional leadership, external partnership development, and a strong track record of translating innovation into validated, compliant analytical solutions. Location: 100% onsite with no travel specified.
