How You Will Make An Impact
The Director, Alliance Management enhances the value and minimizes the risk of multiple partner alliances by providing leadership, proactive management of a portfolio of programs/products, and building positive relationships with key partners and other alliance collaborators. Accountable for overall alliance and program performance, integrating efforts across product development, quality, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, project management, and supply chain to meet critical achievements to advance programs and the ENHANZE platform. May also support autoinjector and Hypercon platform partners as needed.

In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To
- Lead alliance-related activities to enhance value and minimize risks for assigned ENHANZE partnerships.
- Drive revenue-recognition achievements and grow existing alliances via partner engagement leading to new ENHANZE and autoinjector device partnerships.
- Lead/collaborate with external alliance managers and internal partners to ensure governance, address issues, and execute partner programs.
- Meet/exceed revenue targets; support program strategies and renegotiations to increase portfolio value.
- Proactively supervise contractual obligations and outcomes; support revisions/renegotiations as needed.
- Identify partner value drivers, proactively mitigate risks, and maintain strong communication.
- Develop and maintain key internal/external relationships; drive alliance meetings (agendas, briefings, minutes, materials).
- Ensure alignment with Halozyme policies and partners’ enforcement of ethics/compliance.
- Support creation of organizational alliance management capability; collaborate with other department managers and Finance.
- Attend major scientific meetings and build relationships with key personnel and potential partners.

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life science or related field; 10+ years in biopharmaceutical industry; 5–8 years alliance management (or similar) working directly with alliance partners.
- Strong business development experience in alliances.
- Knowledge of global product development and commercialization.
- Experience managing cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; synthesize inputs and contribute to ENHANZE strategy.
- CAAM or CSAP certification a plus; MS or PhD preferred.
